My background is in graphic design having studied at the London College of Printing, graduating in 1989.
Following a period of working in southern Spain in the early 1990's I began to experiment with papier mache creating
sculptural forms inspired by the exuberance and colour of the numerous fiestas held throughout the year all over the country. Later world travel with a particular interest in folk art, festivals and popular art as well as everyday objects, events and observations have all influenced or motivated my work which spans a variety of styles and disciplines including painting, collage, papier mache, mixed media and willow lanterns.
Based in Shoreditch until 2005 my work was commissioned in a wide variety of contexts by London design agencies and galleries before moving to Amsterdam 2005 and then to York in 2010.

My work has been exhibited in galleries in London & the North of England, Paris (France), The Netherlands and USA.

I run occasional lantern making workshops for adults and frequently work to commission.
